I am lonely, yet not everybody will do. I don’t know why, some people fill the gaps and others emphasize my loneliness.

Somehow, I am willing to make this trade. If getting hurt is the only means to be with you, then so be it. We can hurt each other at the same time we love each other. I am fine with that.

King Protea, the national flower of South Africa.
I miss Cape Town so much.
I still remember the moment of bliss when I saw this giant on the way down from Table Mountain. It was getting dark and the rocky climb down was slippery and covered with moss. But my heart was pounding so hard, I could barely contain my breath. I remembered kissing the flower, with pride and happiness. My eyes gleaming,Table Mountain lifted me up higher.
Some might call me crazy for getting so emotional over a flower. But protea is not just a flower, it’s something more than that. It’s a dream, a memory, a past.
And I am a creature of the past. A nostalgic.

Wisdom teeth

They say no wisdom can be taught without pain.

And right now I am feeling the pain from my removed wisdom teeth. Lessons learned: play soothing music (not Sigur Ros or William Fitzsimmons) or watch nonchalant, drama-free movies (not Hunger or Never Let Me Go) when you have your wisdom teeth removed. It’s enough to feel the numbing pain physically. No need for emotional anguish as well.

And right now I am eating jelly with swollen gum. Guess I should not complain anymore.
